Professional Practice 2 (QSB3614)

This subject is conducted by Mr. Eddie Lim, with reference to the PAM contract 2006.

Subjects covered under Professional Practice 2 includes :

Construction Disputes with Interim Certificate,
Delays and Disputes,
Construction Claims,
Setting Off By Employer,
Partial Possesion by Employer,
Determination of Contractor's Employment by Employer,
Determination of Contractor's Employment by Contractor
Penultimate Certificate & Final Certificate,
Final Accounts
Building Insurances
Features of Arbitration, Adjudication & Mediation,
Comparison of PAM contract 2006 and PWD contract.




There is a mid-term exam as well as a group assignment on Final Accounts.

This module comprises of 3 hours lecture and 1 hour tutorial, once a week for 14 weeks.
It has taught me a lot in understanding the PAM contract 2006, the rights and duties of the Contractor and the Employer.
Mr. Eddie Lim has also showed us some real-life examples so that we can comprehend the subject better and also understand the Construction Industry more.
