The lecturers for this module consists of Mr Chang and Mr Lee.
The subjects covered in this topic includes :
Introduction to Financial Management,
Financial Information System,
Company Finance and Accounts,
Capital Investments,
Introduction to Organisational Management,
Firm Management,
Financial Investment Appraisal, and
Corporate Analysis.
In this subject, I have learnt to understand how an organisation works with money revolving around them. This module involves calculations in determining if a project is worth to be taken or not. We were also taught the "Time Value of Money" and also calculations such as the NPV to find out what today's money is worth in the future.
Financial Management lecture consists of 2 hours lecture and 2 hours tutorial, once a week for 14 weeks.
There is a mid-term exam as well as an assignment to make a 3-year financial forecast. We have chosen Sime Darby as our company. There is also a final exam at the end of the semester.
